Situated in the original part of the house, as the name suggests, this room over looks the lawned garden and the hills beyond. With original shuttered windows, high ceilings and window seats, this room oozes character. The size of the room is reflected in the large 6’6” emperor bed, which looks in perfect proportion. The new ensuite bathroom has been finished to the highest standard and features a Hansgrohe over head shower. The recent refurbishment means no more inch deep baths! There is a constant and plentiful supply of hot water, which is pumped from the mains so you can run a bath in a couple of minutes, or stand under a very powerful shower. The soft furnishings have been upholstered in Colefax & Fowler fabrics. The furniture is mainly painted Scandanavian, with an antique linen press. The room is fully carpeted and with an Aubusson rug. The bed is made by Royal Auping, and features two integrated single beds with separate mechanical lifting at the top and bottom, so is ideal for those who need some extra support whilst sleeping, or want to read or watch TV in total style! There is a digital TV with integrated DVD player and a radio alarm clock. A cot is available on request.
