Over 100 people came to support our wonderful Harvest Celebration in the barn. The service was led by local shepherd David Sullivan, and was followed by an auction of produce which raised £ 900 for Farm Crisis Network. Thank you to everyone who supported us, especially everyone who donated their time and energy, wonderful produce and to Parsonage Farm in Upton for making the most fantatic BBQ meats supper. Hurrah!

An exhibition of cushions and quilts, Made in Prison.
The charity raised £ 14,000 over the weekend to help the rehabilitation of prisoners through needlepoint and embroidery. The Govenor of Albany Prison attended, and spoke about charities' volunteers bring a sense of 'anger management' to Prison by giving inmates an opportunity to constructively manage their days, and have a sense of achievement. Rt Hon Sir George Young BT, MP, dendoised fhe charity and how it is an example of how the community makes the change for itself, rather than relying on Central or local Government.

RDA Fete, 30 May 2010
A fete in aid of our 'house charity', which raised over £ 2000 for Eva's walk of 100k in 5 days across the Jordanian Desert. The walk has now been completed, and despite being ill for the entire 40 degree in the shade walk, Eva did it! Well done to her and all the others who were raising money on this walk.
Donations are still being collected: all cheques payable to Andover RDA please, to the house.
Volunteers are always needed for the RDA in any area: please visit their website for more information, or for details on how to become a friend of the RDA |
