THE THRESHING BARN at IBTHORPE MANOR FARM & CHURCH WEDDING CEREMONIES

We are delighted to offer our stunning medieval rustic threshing barn as a unique and wonderful venue for your wedding, party or event. The Barn is available for parties and weddings, as well as theatrical and charity events.

The Barn offers a blank canvas to dress up or down for the greatest spectacle of events, or for an intimate country wedding with a hog roast and bloke on a fiddle in the corner.

GUEST CAPACITY

The main barn is a space of 30m (100ft) in length and 6m (20ft) in width.

The total floor area, excluding the bar, is 240m2 and would accommodate up to a maximum 100 people for a drinks reception, seated lunch or dinner and dancing, or 200 for drinks.

The floor plans at the bottom of the page show you the exact layout. All the concrete floors now have carpeting so are much more luxurious!

One set of doors opens onto a flat lawned area which can extend the facilities hugely, allowing the addition of a marquee or tables and chairs overlooking our horse filled paddocks. It is a great area for fun additions to the wedding: an outside cocktail bar, bouncy castle or Morris dancers.

WHAT'S INSIDE

The Wedding barn is full of rustic charm, and features a long copper topped bar as a wonderful centre piece.

This works brilliantly as a serving area for canapes at the start of a wedding, transforming into a pub or bar for mixing cocktails on or pulling pints at, as the wedding progresses.

At the other end of the barn is the new sprung dance floor, which is where initial drinks take place on arrival after the wedding.

There is an additional galleried area which sits above the bar, which can be reached via steps at the back of the bar or from its own entrance. This can be part of the wedding, creating additional seating, or as a room with sofas and a TV for younger children, or for weary adults who want to take a break! It has many uses, and can be a real addition to your wedding or event.

CATERING

A kitchen tent can be attached to the side of the main entrance to the barn if required, or if using a caterer we know, our private kitchens can be used.

ACCESS

Access to the barn is via a private track leading directly to the barn, and the views are of the parkland where we graze our horses.

LOOS, TABLES, CHAIRS. & TENTS

Loos will need to hired.

Tables, chairs and additional marquees and tents can be hired through our preferred partners, Gavin Parkhouse, TT Tents or AA Marquees.

CHURCH WEDDING CEREMONIES

The local churches of Hurstbourne Tarrant, Vernham Dean, Faccombe and Linkenholt are available for wedding ceremonies. Please contact the Priest in charge, Revd. David Keighley directly for more information.
